Tony Wright
Owner
Founder of AW Ceramics, Tony is the technical mind and expert behind all the production and hands on development of products. Utilising his 50+ years in the industry, there is almost no problem he cannot solve or client he cannot help! Tony works with designers to bring their designs from just a idea to developing a finished item. Fond of Staffordshire oatcakes with cheese, he regularly allows himself a hard earned break enjoying these with a mug of tea in one of his own mugs of course!. A keen golfer for many years he is still trying for that ‘hole in one’ when time permits!
Alex Wright

Tony’s son, Alex joined the company in its infancy, a integral member of the team, he is involved in all aspects of the products journey from clay production to the finished item. His natural artistic talents include wielding a paintbrush, so naturally he uses his talent to hand paint some of the products to the customers specific design. Enjoying a wide range of interests, he likes to try his hand at cooking so often tests his culinary skills on friends and family. Alex enjoys reading, taking weekends away and is a enthusiastic participant in board gaming with his wife and friends.

Tony’s son in law, Mike joined the business in 2014 and has proved to be a invaluable member of the team. Mike works in every stage of the total production process. He is hands on, from mixing the raw clay to packing the final pieces for despatch. Mike loves all things transport related and has driven many vehicles through the years (buses, coaches, HGVs) so he can whizz things around on the forklift when needed! He loves to socialise and talk with people so is always ready to give a helping hand when needed - a real benefit to the team when a mug of tea is needed at short notice.
